Translate Using PoEdit

Terminology

Translation Process

  1. Start by installing PoEdit from https://poedit.net/.
  2. Open cyclone-slider-2/languages/cyclone-slider-2.pot in PoEdit. Do not make your edit in the .pot file.
  3. Save it as cyclone-slider-2-{language code}_{country code}.po file where {language code} is the ISO 639-1 code of the language and {country code} is the ISO_3166 code of the country. Example for Brazilian Portuguese it would be cyclone-slider-2-pt_BR.po and for Italian it would be cyclone-slider-2-it_IT.po
  4. Start translating texts:
  5. Once you're done, click Save. It will save both .po and .mo file.
  6. Place both .po and .mo files inside cyclone-slider-2/languages/.
  7. That's it!
